Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

When I went to Lahaina back in 2018, Baby Beach was one of my favorite beaches. My girlfriend’s little 7 year-old son loved it. Although it’s a fun beach for children, it’s great for adults like myself too. A lot of shallow areas that are knee-deep, warm water and areas on land to have lunch and/or sunbathe. One of my favorite places in Maui.

5 out of 5. Great place if you’re not comfortable in open water. The reef means the waves are way out and you have plenty of shallow ocean to explore.

We loved this beach. We found parking on the street and spent most of 2 days here. No bathrooms or lifeguard. The water was maximum 5 feet where we were a decent ways from the shoreline. The beach itself is small but most of the time we were in the water. We snorkeled and swam without the fear of being swept out to sea, sudden drop offs or huge violent waves. Snorkeling was great and super easy (didnt need our fins in shallow water). Lots of variety of fish and each day we swam with at least 2 turtles . This is a great spot for beginner paddle boarders or snorkelers and a spot where parents can relax as their kids swim safely. Watch out for the reefs - they can hurt if you bump into one !

Our favorite beach in Lahaina Town. Easy access, clean, good for families and close to downtown Lahaina. The water is calm because of the breakwater in front of the beach. Lots of locals as well as vacationers. The water is shallow and calm. Kid friendly. We always spend some time here when we stay in Lahaina.

We stayed in a rental on Baby Beach and really enjoyed the respite from the waves. Our 10 and 12 year old really enjoyed it but the teens did as well. We snorkeled and watched the sea turtles and fish.

This is THE place if you have young kids. There are no waves and they can wade far out (with water shoes.) Small fish swim around and we even saw a sea turtle swim right by. We had kids between ages 1 and 9 and they all had fun for hours.

Baby beach isn’t for everyone, but it’s a 5/5 if you have young children or, are learning to snorkel.
Baby Beach has a reef (a break) ohhh maybe 175ft from shore that causes all the waves to stop there, so you have calm, clear water to play in. Understandably it will be too calm for many, but great for what I mentioned above.
Also, a little fact, about 90% of the coral you see there (and other places on Maui) are either white (bleaching) which means it’s dying, or covered in algae, that’s means it’s completely dead. I’ve heard reports about global warming killing the coral reefs, but to see it with my own eyes. Man, there are no words.
Watch “Chasing Coral” on Netflix for more education on it. It’s so sad.

Hard to find baby beach is a smallish beach on the bay that is great to swim and noodle around. Read a book, scroll the phone cause the wind is not too bad on this beach. Can get crowded as more families come.

Calm waters. If you want to have some time where kids leave you alone while you just sit in your chair, hands off and enjoy the view, this is it. The entrance was kinda small but it’s a great beach and popular for family pictures early in the morning.

Shallow with literally no waves. Perfect for young kids and the whole family. Infants to senior citizens we were in heaven. We saw turtles so bring a mask and snorkel to take full advantage. Chairs and watching the sun set created a perfect photo opportunity.
