We stopped here as we were passing by and spend some time. We enjoyed the cool breeze and relaxed. Not much crowded at all. Nice place for a quiet picnic. There is paid parking available.

A paved path for both pedestrians and bikes runs the length of probably a mile or so, along the way are fire pits, covered picnic tables, loads of grass and birds, views of turtles from the rocks above (they like to eat the moss on the rocks), and the ancient Chinese (we think) cemetery wherein lie the remains of the early laborers. The writing on the markers appears to be Chinese. Reach this lovely little park by passing the Hyatt, crossing the small bridge over the creek, and continuing along past the Canoe Club. There is a lifeguard station, several shower and restroom facilities along the way here, as well as a pretty active beach scene. This has regularly been one of our favorite walks when we do decide to hoof it into Lahaina (rather than take the bus). During our early December, 2021, visit, Mother Nature delivered a 100-year storm to Maui (and all the islands, eventually). Rain entered under doors, trees fell down, streets flooded, mountain-sides turned into waterfalls, beaches eroded (further) and shops ran aground. along our walk, we saw a boat being cut up and hauled away. This walk showed just a hint of the ill-effects.
