A two-mile walk along Maui's northwest coast, the trail begins and ends on a beach. In between, you'll see spactacular oceanfront and bountiful greenery on the dramatic coastline.

Parking is difficult to find so get there early. The snorkeling here was not as good as at other places. Access to beach was a little treacherous.

The Kapalua Coastal Trail was perfect for our whole family with adults and 2 small children. The views were spectacular and the rock climbing was fairly easy. I would highly recommend this hike for all ages.

This was a pleasant walk along the coast of Maui- ranging from just off sandy beaches to crashing waves on lava cliffs and walks out to points with tide pools. As with most beach access in West Maui, the challenge is to find the parking....More

The trails were a great way we started our day in Maui. We stayed at the Napili Shores Outrigger resort and it was only a 5 minute drive to the trails.

No , trail is not stroller accessible. Your baby would need to be carried in a sling. Part of the trail requires some climbing , nothing crazy but some climbing.

Sneakers should be fine. The first part of the trail is suitable for all ages. There are some moderate hills if you venture out a little further.
