Not crowded, fantastic sunset views. Snorkelling was a lot of fun and even got to see a turtle up close!

Excellent, quiet beach. Sunset it’s beautiful to look at, waters are calm and transparent. Definitely a beautiful beach to relax.

Spent several hours snorkeling and jumping from black rock. Also, we saw several sea turtles- amazing!

Gorgeous but CROWDED!

All the hotels are gathered hear, and all the people too. It's like going on a Carnival Cruise. I'd go to Kapalua instead.

White sand in Paradise

A wonderful place to stay... Just like the picture. We stayed at the Westin Timeshare Villas and it was like coming home to Hawaii. The views and rooms and amenities made staying in Ka'anapail just perfect.. You can walk on the beach forever.. Paradise in reality . Mahalo

Great place to stay... and Black Rock end of the beach is beautiful!
Oct 2021
We stayed at the Kaanapali Hotel Beach and loved our north end of the beach! The sand and the water in near Black Rock were great for hanging out and for swimming. And I enjoyed walking the trail from the north end down all the way to the public beaches past the Hyatt everyday! Lot's of people... but if you like people watching it is fun! And Whalers Village has a couple good eating spots (Can we say "Monkeypod"!!!) and shops.

Overrated
Oct 2021 • Family
Why is this such a highly rated beach? Maybe it was just the day we stopped in, but it was not great. We like to be able to at least swim, snorkel, or boogie board. We could do none of that here. The surf was too rough, and the beach itself is long but narrow. We quickly packed it up and found a better beach.

Great Family Beach Day
Oct 2021
Our family had a great day at Ka'anapali Beach. To our surprise, there was ample free public parking available when we arrived ~10am on our weekday visit, and plenty of space on the beach within 100 yards of the main park/restrooms. COVID-times surely contributing to the reduced traffic. Good snorkeling from shore in a number of spots. Good beach sand that was perfect for burying our 9-year-old daughter in up to her neck. A bit windy as to be expected...it's the beach! We enjoyed walking along the boardwalk/sidewalk and seeing all of the resorts. Plenty of resort restaurants to grab lunch at, from ultra-casual food trucks to high-end restaurants.

Nice, sandy beach conventent to resorts.

Lots of room, some shady spots unter the trees. No surf to speak of, pretty good snorkeling. Drop off at shorebreak is steep, keep an eye on the kids.
