Snorkle, swim, boogie board, walk the beach, sunbath, people watch, stop for a snack and drink at the beach bar, watch for whales..... This is the perfect beach for singles, couples, and families. There are picnic benches, a grassy area with shade and washroom facilities. Plenty of parking, too. Enjoy!!

We came in mid Nov and it was a little cloudy. Spent more time walking then laying around. Only bring your exercise clothes because unless you have a suit on, it's what you will be wearing. The pathway is full of everyone. Couples, strollers, wheelchairs, runners, everyone. You can walk all the way to Lahaina (one very small stretch on... More

Its much busier up north. Lots of tourists and kids, and old people. Makena and Wailea much more relaxed and the beach at Makena Surf is really nice - for all ages.

Offers everything you need within walking distance. A good choice of restaurants, shops and cruises. The waves were large and very strong, Sunsets are Great

Beautiful to look at, walk, run and do nothing. Not sure how the currents are as we didn't go in but definitely worth making the time to experience

Out from Black Rock by the Sheraton, there is good shorkelling. We went twice. It starts with little fish by the beach and grows into bigger fish farther out. We saw turtles, eels and the classic Hawaiian fish we so love to see. Recommended.

We stayed on Ka'anapali beach at the Royal Lahaina and it was truly amazing! we were within walking distance of black rock. the other side of Black Rock it was soooo much more busy with people and families! From sun up to sun down this beach had the perfect amount of activity and people. The snorkeling was amazing! every day... More

Loved everything about it. Great sand, waves, places to rent beach equipment was close. Hula Grill was really close. We had a great time. Waves were not too big for my kids and the beach was sandy. Other beaches were rocky and this one was not. Water was crystal clear as you see in pictures.

I found this beach was beautiful, but mostly for the people who stayed in these resorts. We walked along the ocean, then found it blocked off by these resorts.

We stopped here to snorkel and wasn't disappointed. Great beach to relax, swim, snorkel and watch for turtles. It sprinkled a little on us but that didn't matter because it was warm. Great clean beach
