We went to Maui at the end of April, so we weren't sure how much whale activity we'd see. However, our crew for the Whale Watch Cruise went out and found us some whales. We saw a few dorsal fins, some spray and one tail fluke. No spectacular breachings, but who can control whales? The boat was large with comfortable... More

We totally lucked out on our whale watching adventure and got to see dolphins and a whale in late April. The crew was friendly and super knowledgeable. My little guy (while he slept in his carrier about half the time) did great. There was plenty of seats and shade.

Probably spoilt having snorkelled in Thailand and Fiji so Molokini was a little disappointing. The fish were few and we only saw about 6 types. The coral was pretty in the shallows but unfortunately there was signs of bleaching. We moved to try see turtles but they were scarce due to the choppy waters. Nobody could predict the weather. We... Terrific tours! Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Boat rides were smooth and comfortable. Food on the snorkel trip was pretty good. We were very lucky and saw several whales come up fully out of the water. My family -with 2 kids- really enjoyed both tours. Highly recommend to families.

A fun and friendly crew made our experience today a blast. Watched a mother and calf through the whole one and a half hours. Very knowledgeable crew. A great experience for anyone visiting Maui!

Great trip. Great organisation. We took the Whale Watching tour from Lahaina location which is situated on Front St, right across from the worlds largest Banyan Tree (a sight which should also be seen!) The guides knew their stuff and narrated the tour the entire time in a fun and interactive way. The boat had plenty of room on deck... More

We've been on two whale watching trips with the Pacific Whale Foundation. Our latest trip left from Lahaina Harbor (the other leaves from Ma’alaea Harbor). The crew on this two-hour cruise was knowledgeable and friendly. We saw several whales and were treated to multiple breaches. The double deck catamaran (Ocean Discovery) is pretty run down, but offers a smooth ride.... More

We choose the Pacific Whale Foundation, a non profit, research organization, for our excursion and were not disappointed. Not only did we see two whales perform with a record number of tail slaps but also several breaches. We were educated by a researcher who explained everything to us and stayed on the water longer than we should have because of... More

My favorite part of my trip to Maui was snorkeling in Lana'i. My husband and I picked up a bunch of brochures of different attractions in Maui, one of them being the Pacific Whale Foundation Lana'i Snorkel and Dolphin Watch. While waiting for the luau to start in Lahaina, we made a reservation at the foundation down the street for... More

We have been done whale watching with this outfit twice and the hosts are always so informative. The catamaran is closer to the water than the Discovery boat but both are good.
