We're the "Best Place to Find Yourself on Horseback" according to Hawaii Magazine's 2008 "Best of Hawaii" - and they should know! Ride our beautiful horses through lush, exotic valleys, ironwood forests, and pineapple fields, while enjoying spectacular panoramic views of the outer islands! Nestled in the midst of unspoiled mountains, rain forests and farmland, Ironwood Ranch sits on acres of private land inaccessible to most, but ready and waiting for you to explore!

Jean and Chris were great. Our daughter wanted to go there for her 11th birthday. She and my 12 year old son enjoyed it. Nice "day off" from beach sun. Well-mannered horses, almost jungle-path.

Great place for a casual ride. We were asked if we were experienced riders. The definition of an experienced rider to Ironwoods was 150 times on a horse. Needless to say we were then not experienced . Had a really nice time

This was our second trip back to the Ironwood ranch stables. Gina and her crew do an amazing job. They select horses to your experience with riding and make sure you are comfortable with the horse. The trails are manicured making it easy to enjoy...More

This was a really fun activity! My husband and I were escorted through the jungle, and up through the hills, on two lovely horses. It was just the two of us and our guide, a very nice guy from Idaho. We saw lush foliage, heard...More

My sisters and I wanted to go horse riding on Maui. They straight away told us that the trail conditions weren't great because of the rain but told us what trails were possible. We went on a 1 hour ride, through beautiful forest areas and...More

The ride was so great for all members of the family. Our guide was knowledgeable about local history and ecology which made the trip even better. The horses were mellow and easy to handle for us novice riders. It was a challenge to communicate before...More

Nice and laid back trail ride in a scenic area. Good for younger kids who want to ride on their own. Great guides and my favorite feature at the ranch -- Romeo the border collie.

My 8 y/o daughter and I went together for this excursion. What a great one it was! The horses were great and easy to handle even for the beginner rider. The ride starts through the forest and ends up in the old pineapple fields. Once...More

We had a great ride and learned about the history of the island from our guide. We saw some stunning views. My husband had never been riding before and he enjoyed it. We also left with some free citrus from their trees.

We were pretty much the same scenario; our 7 yr old was the "equestrian". There was only one trail ride available when we went and I don't think it's going to be that different of an experience no matter which one you... More

If your husband's weight is close to the max limit (220lbs I believe), they will weigh him when you arrive. Their priority is the safety of the horses.
