The Whalers Village Museum is small and focuses on the early whaling of the area. The displays are interesting and well presented. There is a skeleton of a whale with descriptions about the whales.

Fun shopping experience - local establishments in a very modern setting. Easy to get to from the area resorts, good variety of stories and eateries

Sad to think that they used to hunt and kill the whales. It was interesting though to see the tools they used to use; learning/seeing parts of history is always interesting.

A small area to view if you're already here. It was nice to show the kids the whale bones. :) We wouldn't have gone if we hadn't already been in the area.

I was not aware that the start of the Civil War helped to end whaling in the Pacific. Take time to tour and read the history and all the photos and artifacts from the whaling era.
