About
Aloha and welcome to Mauis Garden Of Eden Arboretum. An Arboretum is a park dedicated to trees. We also feature hundreds of lowland rainforest species of flowers, shrubs, and ground covers as well.We began this project in1991 with 30 acres of densely overgrown jungle, now after investing more than 20yrs of physical labor and 2 million dollars, we have created one of Hawaii's most visited botanical gardens. We have many plants found nowhere else or are uncommon to Hawaii, such as rare Amazon fruits and medicinal species, endangered hardwoods, spice, exotic nut trees, ferns and so much more...A botanical Disneyland with over 2 miles of maintained graveled walking trails...A truly educational facility with over 700 plants botanically labeled. Try to allow at least 45 minutes to explore. We feature great views and photo opportunities but no direct access to the waterfall or pools. If you are only interested in restrooms (we now have improved facilities) You can do so for free 2 miles down the road.A portion of your entry fee is donated to the nature conservatory. The cost to keep our gate open averages $1,000/dy so we sincerely thank you for your support,,,especially those who have contributed beyond our entry fee. Most botanical gardens have teams of volunteers and use chemicals to curb costs. Our entire staff are well paid professionals, and we are almost entirely a chemical free park. Thank you for visiting, we do take your comments to heart

Lovely garden walk & beautiful overlooks
Nov 2021 • Couples
We spent about 45 minutes here as a stop on the Road to Hana. If you aren't pressed for time, you can easily spend a few hours here. The grounds arw beautifully kept and easy to maneuver with their map and plenty of signage. I liked that the plants themselves were labeled. The Keopuka Rock, large ficus and bamboo are some of the highlights for me. It's family friendly with real bathrooms. Plenty of areas to picnic. Cute duck pond where you can feed them. Peacocks roaming about. $20 per person for adults. I enjoyed my short time there, but would plan on spending up to an hour at least to fully enjoy all the spots on the map.

We stopped by during our self-guided Shaka Guide Road to Hana tour. The garden views were breathtaking. It was a little pricey l but definitely worth it.

Garden of Eden … absolutely stunning splendor!
Oct 2021 • Couples
We were absolutely astounded and dazzled by this gorgeous place! The entry fee of $15 was more than worth it! 2 1/2 miles of fascinating trails.. breathtaking sometimes in its beauty!
Woods.. banyan trees, mango groves, huge bamboo trees of all colors, rainbow eucalyptus trees, waterfalls, unique colorful flowers and peacocks too!
Don’t miss it on your right on the road to Hana after Mile marker 10 or so !

Cost vs Value concern
Oct 2021 • Couples
Not the best value unless you plan on staying all day! Cost is $20 PER PERSON. The area is not that lush and plant selection just OK. I would choose another option unless you are a real botany expert!

$20pp - Not Worth for the Price
Aug 2021 • Couples
Definitely a waste of time on our trip of Road to Hana. $20 per PERSON entry is too much in our opinion for what there was there. The maps and signage that’s around the garden is not necessarily correct and forces you to waste a lot of time walking around. We saw other people confused as well. Skip the trip and long wait to get in. Also under no circumstance buy food from their food shack before you leave. We ordered a smoothie and saw them put frozen fruit in our drink. The fruit looked like it had similar packaging from Costco. We’re in Hawaii and can’t even get fresh fruit? Food and drinks were expensive for what they were. Tourist trap and ripoff. Only gave 2 stars because the views were amazing, however still not worth the price.

Road to Garden of Eden
Sep 2021
If it weren't for our visit to Garden of Eden, my group of four would have been disappointed in the Road to Hana trek.
Garden of Eden was absolutely beautiful with its natural setting, variety of flowers, easy jungle trails, interesting birds, local artist gallery, and HUGE flowers and plants most of us see as potted houseplants back home.
I recommend you take the Road to Eden...nothing past it (30 minutes to Hana) is worth the drive filed with anxiety.

So glad we made this a stop on the road to Hana. We arrived at the park right before opening & it did not disappoint. I would highly recommend if you are a plant lover of any sorts making this a stop. Gorgeous overlooks that include sights that were included in the filming of Jurassic park! Very unique seeing many houseplants that I own in their natural environment. Friendly staff & gorgeous views

Nice garden
Jul 2021
Beautiful garden, we especially enjoyed seeing the rainbow eucalyptus trees up close. We saw the rock at the beginning of Jurassic Park, however it was so far and little to see. The fee was a little high for a smaller size garden, we were told we could just drive through the garden if we didn't want to walk, but that is not the case, be prepared to walk.

Defiantly stop on the Road to Hana!
Jul 2021
This stop was well worth it! There was lots of different plants throughout the garden. It was great to see all the plants that were native and grow all around the island in one place. It may seem a bit pricy to enter, but it is defiantly worth the cost. Great way to start out the Road to Hana!

The views of the ocean and waterfalls are a bonus to the flowers and trees. Easy to walk around and see.
