We stopped here on the Road to Hana. We didn't realize it was a hidden beach, Be advised, the entrance to the beach is at the end of a dead end street and parking is limited so be prepared. The small hike to the beach took between 5 to 10 minutes but was definitely worth it. There are signs stating... More

What a neat little beach! The trail out is a bit more dangerous than the typical, but well worth it. May not want to being little kiddos...pretty much all adults while we were there. People at this beach were carefree and very much enjoying themselves in the AMAZING water...one of the coolest place we've been...albeit, everywhere is pretty awesome here.

Obscure trail on the rugged coast small coved red sand beach with two large boulders pertecting it. If your planning on staying in Hana for a day or two wait until after 3 when the day trippers leave

This is a fabulous beach! Accessing it is difficult, but once there it's a wonderful spot to spend a day snorkelling and swimming. The path to the beach is very steep and slippery in places, but well worth the trouble getting there. Parking in the nearby street is tight and the local police take a dim view if illegal parking,... We decided to take a walk to the beach. Score we brought all the beach type "stuff" we typically bring along. Sue to flip flops and not being prepared for the death cliff walk we turned back at the part were the rock peaks over the ocean and the rocky path begins. It looks beautiful and will attempt again next... More

We briefly drove up to and away from this beach during our Road to Hana tour. It's supposed to be red due to iron oxide runoff, but it looked muddy brown to us. Maybe under the right lighting conditions? Intoxication?

Red sand beach is surrounded by beautiful landscape! It's a short hike to get to the beach so it wasn't very crowded. It's a little rocky but definitely worth the visit. The snorkeling wasn't the best but you can see some fun tropical fish! Overall I would recommend to make the quick trek here even if just for the scenery!

Red Sand Beach is gorgeous but only for those with sturdy shoes and good balance as the trail is slippery and can be dangerous for those who are not fit and experienced in treacherous terrain.

The trail was extremely easy to find, look at the photo posted by Snoogle and park along the baseball field. I used google maps street view before we left to get an idea. There was a line of parked cars when we arrived so chances are you will see others coming and going. Walk past the yellow gate, through the... More

Very dangerous Read all reviews. Clothing optional. Steep and narrow. People rushing past us, I guess to see bathers without clothes on. Not for the faint of heart. Not worth the risk.
