This beach was so pretty and very quiet. There is about a 5 mile drive to queens pond from the turn off and then a parking area before the beach. The road is very bumpy as well and is dirt road, not paved. Must have...More

Many of the beaches in Kaua'i are easy to get to, overcrowded and with little parking. This is the exception and the nicest beach you don't have to fly or boat into. Take highway 50 past the Barking Sands PMRF (Pacific Missile Range Facility) which...More

Just do it! We went for the sunset and the beauty was astounding. We swam in the warm, warm Queens Pond (ocean is dangerous), walked the beach toward the Na Pali cliffs, made castles and watched an amazing sunset. Definitely felt the mana of the...More

This was the most scenic beach we visited in Kauai at the dry west end of the island. You have to drive 5 miles over rough roads to get there. It's hot with limited amenities and rough waves. Buyer beware! Needs preparation to enjoy it.

Searched for best beach in Kauai, this one came up. At the end of the road past the Pacific Missile Testing facility on the southern end of the Na Pali coast, last 4 miles is a dirt track. Restroom and shower available, nothing else. But...More

The last beach (or the first...) ! To reach it you take a dirt road (but this time if it's dry, your normal car can pass). If you are a bit afraid for the last part, stop at the entrance of the park (when you...More

I was nervous driving 'to the end of the road' for this beach, especially over the rock trail that our rental convertible did not take kindly to... but OMG was it worth is. We went on a Wed and only ran into a handful of...More

We absolutely love this beach. The drive from the North Shore is long and the road is rocky but once you're there it's all worth it.

Amazing scenic view with incredible beach. The best beach I've ever been on. Access is 5 miles of bumpy dirt road and some sand. 4WD recommended. Well worth the effort.

As linh88 said, there is a small dirt parking area under trees (2-3 cars size). We were able to park there. We didn't drive or park on the sand.

I think so because camping is allowed and cars drive on the beach. But I can't recall seeing remnants of past fires when we were there
