Beautiful gardens, self toured or professional toured. A full day of lovely surroundings and much to learn about Hawaiian/indigenous plants and landscapes.

My husband and I spent 2 and 1/2 hours here this morning. It was billed as a self guided tour, following a pleasant minibus ride to the more distant McBride garden. We happened upon Neil, who is an extremely knowledgeable volunteer who we wound up...More

Pick a few trails and enjoy them in the Mcbride gardens. Really no way to see the entire area in one day. Earlier in day is better too so you can fit in more trails. They drop you off in the middle and stop by...More

We thoroughly loved our visit to the self guided McBryde gardens. We went to the wrong location while trying to find this place but Karen one of the employees at the offices (the place we went instead of the actual visitor center) was super sweet...More

This tour is a bit pricey but you are helping preserve native plants by paying the price. Our guide was most helpful in explaining all about the garden and how it came to be. Lots of nice info on the various movies that have been...More

We did the self guided tour. Well worth the time to see so many species in one place! A must do if you are interesting in any form of gardening.

We did the Sunset Dinner Tour 2 years ago & loved it so much we decided to do it again. Even if you aren’t a garden enthusiast it is worth seeing. A REAL GEM. Thank you Dave for the a great tour..

Ignorance was not bliss. We arrived thinking the gardens were, well, at the place called the National Tropical Botanical Garden. But you have to prebook a tour because the gardens are off site. The unhelpful woman at the desk said we could look around the...More

Love the tour. If you want to go make sure you call ahead. The tours sell out and its the only way to get into the Gardens.

We paid $30 per person to take a self-guided tour of McBryde Gardens. Our shuttle bus driver Juan was very entertaining - the best part of the tour, actually. The shuttle bus drops you off at the Canoe Plants exhibit, which is really the only...More

The tour we took, which was a guided tour, used a small (15 passenger ) bus. There was some walking when the bus stopped at various locations but many opportunities to rest.
