Read about this in a tour book and wanted to go out and take a look. Parked at gravel lot. We are always very respectful of Hawaiian cultural, and religious areas. Before we could walk two steps from our car, a man approached us and...More

Loved the energy of the walls. The locals care for this location, nurture the grounds, can see its healthy, natural state when we took a walk of the land.

We were there for the annual celebration of Prince Kuhio Day, March 24th. Wonderful ceremony honoring this man and his contribution to Hawaiians. Many local people participate in the event, children and adults. Also a nice little park for reflection when no events. It is...More

We stayed in a condo adjacent to the park Loved the open spaces and birds in the park. Good signage to explain the history. Lava walls preserved.

This park is right off the main road to spouting horn. Small place, but very interesting story about the last ruler of the island.

I would call this an historical site rather than a park but there were some native Hawaiians setting up for a picnic in the pavilion while we were there. The pavilion does have both charcoal and gas grills as well as running water. Our experience...More

We actually stayed in a condo right next door to this place. It's very serene and has stone walls all around with a status in the center. Interesting place to visit.

Not really exciting, but a nice morning walking spot. The location is nice and the statue kind of neat. Worth a lazy morning walk through.

This park was right next to our condo. Some picnic area by it. Statue of the prince, who was in Congress around first of the 1900s. Park can never be developed; not real large area. Chickens running wild everywhere!
