Great beach that has a large grass area to enjoy. The seals and turtles like to beach themselves there so catch some wildlife up close (they rope off the area around them).

This is a beautiful spot in Kauai however the beach can get really crowded at times. Currently there is some construction goin on as well so not the most peaceful spot. On the upswing, there is apparently a monk seal who beaches herself there on...More

Best Beach we found on the Island to take our toddler. The protected cove is perfect for swimming. I cannot tell you how many times we saw turtles and seals from/on the beach. Very accessible and all the necessary beach amenities are right there.

We had high hopes for this Kauai beach but found it to be very rocky and crowded. I would not recommend going out of your way for it.

Easy access to the beach. Friendly people and fun shops to go check out. I think it is comfortable for families and it was mellow for me. Will go back for it beautiful vibe :-)

Nice beach. The monk seals come on the beach most days at daybreak. Lots of waves so hard to swim but the water and weather were perfect.

Really pretty beach , great for snorkelling , but a strong undercurrent. We were lucky to see the endangered Monk Seal beached. I was impressed as to the care & protection the volunteers gave to her. Great local little restaurants near by. Had an excellent...More

The beach is breathtaking. We rented a private cottage about a block from Poupi beach and loved all eight days. There is little traffic, respectful beach visitors and the sunsets are the best in the world. There are monk seals that come ashore to rest...More

It would be good for beginner snorkeling! It is protected by a reef so water is not rough. You need to be aware that in some spots the distance between rock and water surface is very very shallow and you need to be careful... More
