Must see and experience while on Kauai. My kids loved the fire dancing and I found all the dances with different lighting amazing. Highly recommend.

We just had time for the show and it was by far the best luau I have ever seen. The music was performed live and the performers were very good and entertaining! What makes this luau the best is the venue. You walk in the...More

We enjoyed our recent visit to the Smith Family Luau. The evening starts with a narrated tram tour of the well manicured gardens. Lots of paved paths to explore on your own too with scenic ponds, peacocks, and many blooming plants and trees. Dinner starts...More

Beautiful grounds! The guides and musicians and dancers are the genuine article. Maybe not as polished but their hearts are in it. They are family and enjoy sharing their culture and roots with you. Luau pork wonderful!

Bringing our daughters to Hawaii for the first time, going to a luau seemed to be essential. The Smith Family one was reviewed pretty well on here, on Yelp, and in the guidebook I brought with us. When you boil it down to paying $98...More

This was our first luau, so we have nothing to compare to. The grounds are beautiful and the food was incredibly tasty! We had chicken, pork, fish and beef, along with plenty of sides. No one left hungry. The show was an hour long and...More

I enjoyed myself so much. The people were so sweet and gracious, giving us all shell necklaces upon arrival to cold water upon leaving. The display and exclamation of the cooked pig was amazing. The food was delicious and the entertainment was extraordinary with dances...More

The garden property is wonderful and staff are very nice. Check with your activity guide and don't schedule the event when the cruise ships are in Kauai. Over all the Luau is a buffet line with an open bar. Make table reservations, else it's open...More

We attended the Luau in May of 2013. Had a wonderful time. Food and entertainment were excellent . The only dissapointment we had is that the show did not have more fire dancers. At that time there was only one man doing the fire dancing. Although he was very good, we would have liked to seen more of that type of dancing. We are planning a trip to Kauai this fall, and would like to know if there have been any changes in the entertainment. Thanks in advance for your response.

I do not recall seeing a fire dancer when were there in January 2017.
I notice that transportation from Pride of America is available for the luau at a cost of $14 per person. Can anyone confirm if this is $14 per person one way or includes return transfer. I have emailed Smiths twice but they have not responded. Thank you

I believe we ( party of four) took a cab from the boat. I'm not positive, but I think it was around $30 dollars. Since we shared the cost, I don't recall if that was round trip, but I'm pretty sure it was for one way. Cabs... More
