It took a short time to get into the rhythm of the kayak but the distance wasn't too far and the hike was definitely worth the effort. Wear shoes that are comfortable in the water as well as hiking. Plan to get a little wet...More

My wife and I rolled into the quaint shop of Wailua Kayak Adventures. At first we weren't quite sure what to expect. The prices were just too good to be true, I thought. 60 bucks for a double kayak, for an entire day (8:30am-5pm), dry...More

My husband and I took the 7am tour with Cole a few days ago. First, this tour group is much cheaper than most. And from what we could see of the other groups, the biggest difference seems to be whether or not you get a...More

We rented two kayaks (doubles) to go up the Wailua river and hike to the secret falls. We were able to easily get the kayaks and transport them to the river and the price here was better here than the places closer to the river....More

This is regarding the kayak tour / hike to Secret Falls: does the trail come anywhere near dangerous dropoffs at all? (Some reviews spoke of danger of falling so I wanted to clarify: did they mean danger of falling off of cliffs, or just merely danger of falling and hurting a knee or something? I'm quite agile and not scared of merely falling down. But am SUPER scared of cliffy hikes.)

The trail into the waterfall is a nature trail. Sometimes it can bee slippery and muddy.Very little up and down but some at the waterfall, no cliffs. There is one spot where the trail narrows with about a ten foot drop off... More

Hello we are planning on a trip in March and my questions are if I may: 1) What type of shoe should we wear, would Teva Sports Sandals be ok or do they need to be water shoes? 2) Can we bring a water camera? I saw a review mention no pictures? I find that hard to believe :) 3) If I am reading all the info correct there is no need to bring a water resistant backpack? Thank you !
