Kayak Wailua impressed us from the time we checked in to the end of the trip. The company offers a number of time slots to choose from. You park in a private/fenced property and greeted by a very professional staff. You get shuttled to the marina in a very clean/comfortable van. Kyle, our guide, was awesome! He was very helpful,... We had Kawika as our guide yesterday and he was amazing. He got to know each of us and took the time to answer our questions and to educate us on plants and history in a fun way. We all felt very safe with him and he knew all our names and had jokes with us. The kayak and hike... More

Under the watchful eye of our leader Kyle, our ragtag group of wannabe adventures headed out for a very wet, but wonderful, adventure kayaking down the Wailua, hiking up the muddy trail to the Hidden Gardens Waterfall. Kyle was so knowledgeable about the ecology and history of the area and kept pace with those who needed extra help. The company... More

Pros: 1. Take this trip. It's awesome. 2. Ask for Kyle. He has been with the company a long time, and he knows everything about the river and the forest. He knows the birds and the plants, and you can tell that some of the birds wait for him to arrive. He will use your camera and take amazing photos.... More

Lisa was a great guide. She was kind, funny, and knowledgeable. A few mile kayak in, mile hike to a waterfall, hike back, and then kayak back. Bring own food and water, but the guide service is great at providing dry bags and cooler bags. They were also very accommodating for varying ability levels. A yes in my book. Unique... More

I had done a kayak trip with another company 10 years ago, and I wanted my husband to have the experience as well. I was so happy we picked Kayak Wailua! From the initial emails, to the reminder text with the address the night before, to the actual tour, everything was great. Our tour guide Kyle did a wonderful job!... More

Our kayak trip to Secret Falls was a highlight of our Kauai trip. We loved the mixture of kayaking, hiking and swimming. The destination of the falls was spectacular. Beautiful setting for a swim and picnic lunch. What a lovely experience! Wonderful outdoor adventure and great way to spend a day in Kauai. Lisa was our guide and she was... More

We had a great time on the water! Our guide was Kyle, and he was fantastic. We are a photographer-videographer couple, so we are fortunate enough to travel often for work and assignments. For us, tour-style events are usually the part we look forward to the least. Not so with this trip! Kayak Wailua was organized and thorough from the... More

Guided by the greatest tour guide ever. Wasn't a silent trip, but if it was silent then it would be boring. Highly recommend him to be anyone's guide. Also thanks for the street burger recommendation. Definitley worth it!! P.S Give him a pay raise!!

Four of us took this kayak trip up to the "Hidden" Falls. The trip was great. Our guide, Forest, was truly unique. He is a non-stop talker, but has a deep font of knowledge about all things Hawaii and he is clearly proud of his Hawaiian heritage. Even though this is a "bare bones" trip up the river, I highly...
