Adjacent to Lava Lava Beach Club restaurant is why we went. Water somewhat murky, not a great clean stretch of beach area, lots of boats in swimming area. Just not anywhere near as nice as the other awesome beaches on this island. One cool thing is they have a cat sanctuary type area where many cats kind of like at... More

Easy access beach and generally calm waters. Good for kids. Reasonable snorkeling. Turtles. Shade and limited beach chairs.

I found this beach to be beautiful, serene and quite delightful. It can be quite windy though. Great beach for families with kids as the waves are not very big and there is tons of recreational toys to rent to play in the water (and the renting of is fairly affordable).

we had a busy day and wanted a calm beach swim and "A-Bay" as the locals call it provides just that. The water is lovely, there are sea turtles but primarily it is picture perfect calm bay water surrounded by picturesque palm trees. There is also a lovely beach trail. We have come here many time and never have been... More

Anaehoomalu (A-bay) is a great beach with shade, showers, restrooms and fun waves. Best to snorkel in the morning hours though.

Often shortened to "A-Bay" this is good beach for walking, light-weight swimming and for kids. Almost no wave action, but lots of water recreation activities available. Good place for wind surf lessons, but not available on off-shore wind days (staff hates chasing tourists to Maui or Tahiti to get their boards back) Sunset cruise is nice, as are whale watch... Waikoloa had nickname "Waikoblowa" for a reason but we still had a blast at this beach, just be prepared to have sand...everywhere!!!

the beach is not for small children, the waves are a little rough. It really is not a good surfing or boogie boarding beach either.

Very cute little bay to walk around and hang out at. Not very busy with lots to see. Wildlife is abundant with historical sites.

There are a fw beach chairs dotted about the beach, put here by the Marriott, I suppose. The entrance to the public parking is behind the Queen's Shops. Gt here early, before 10, or there won't be either, parking or chairs. I always bring my own beach chairs, $11.00 at Target, and leave them in the room on the last... More
