Kona Boys helped make this excursion unforgettable for our whole family. We are a family of 5 and our kids are 20, 13, and 9. Our youngest is disabled so we were not sure how she would do with this experience but wanted to try it as a was a highlight of our previous trip (without kids). After talking with Mel at Kona boys about our concerns, she arranged for an extra guide to bring our family of 5 across the bay to help get our daughter in and out of the water. Our guides, Kary and Sydney were informative and comfortable to be around and very helpful. They filled us in on the history of the area and stories about captain Cook as well as the abundant marine life in the bay. Kealakakua was as beautiful on land as it was in the water and my kids were able to experience snorkeling in a way they hadn't before. What made Kona Boys really special though was the way the helped us as parents enjoy a family experience with all of us together. We often have to choose to divide our family as our youngest cannot do all the same things the rest of us can do. With the help of Kary and Sydney, our youngest loved kayaking and was able to be in the water safely with the rest of us. While she didn't snorkel, she swam and splashed while my husband and I snorkeled around her. They helped her climb back up the ladder safely and it was the best family experience we had on the island. Thank you so much Kona Boys.

We had a group of three adults and eight kids ranging from 8-14 years old. Our guides Owen and Eden were laid back, informative, safe and fun! They both did really great with all the kids. Owen took some really great underwater photos and sent them to us. It was perfect for some in our group who have not done a lot of snorkeling and everyone walked away loving it. It is a great reef to visit. We never felt rushed and Eden jumped off the wall with the kids when we got back. Beautiful water and weather! We will definitely come back to Kona Boys!

We were lucky enough to have a private morning magic tour simply because no one else had booked the trip for that morning. The tour guide greeted us at the launch site at the bay with some excellent kayaks and was very polite. Tyler had some great stories to share about the native history of Kealakekua Bay and I appreciate that he allowed us to take our time exploring and I never felt rushed. Snorkeling near the monument was a magical experience, for sure. We even had a nicely packed, delicious lunch while we watched the mongoose play. Highly recommend!

Kona Boys offer a great, effortless experience to Kealakekua Bay. Remy was our kayak guide in early March 2020 and was easy to hang out with, gave clear direction, was engaging throughout the trip, and fantastic with my two 10yo kids. The morning magic tour was the perfect amount of time in kayaks and for snorkel in the Bay for this age group of kids. The early departure time allows for the most amount of peace on the water before the tour boats roll in. Tons of beautiful fish Remy could name, eels, dolphin sightings several times, and baby and mom humpback were the highlights. Lunch was great, local, and plenty of food. Water, juice, and nice snorkel gear provided. Kona Boys had obvious respect for Hawaii, its history and preservation. They came across as clear leaders in preserving Hawaiis precious natural wonders. It was a joy to experience Hawaii through them and would whole heartedly recommend their tours. Thanks for the Aloha vibes Kona Boys!
