This is a good all around beach with plenty of room and you can camp there with a permit. It has bath facilities and a large pavillion for picnicing, cookouts or meetings.

Lots of camping with very nice facilities. Protected cove is great for small children but on the right side of the beach, the san gives way to rocks when the water is only about 3-4' deep. No entry fee but you need a county permit...More

A small county beach park with full facilities including camping with a permit. The beach is just below the historic Pu'u Kohala Heiau, sharing the same access road. When many beaches are shut down for high surf, Spencer is still decent, some of the most...More

We used the apt Gyspy and got to go to most of the beautiful beaches and parks of the Island. Great views and beautiful color of water.

There are very few natural beaches on this Island and this is one. The one and two stars are for a time when the bathrooms were being remodeled. I wish people would update. I guess the County has the right to upgrade their facilities! Anyway,...More

This is our second time coming to the beach to camp. We did it a few years ago and was both fun and a challenge, that time we had strong winds and perfect day. This time we had planned to camp for many days but...More

Great beach, calm water, very scenic. We were told this is the driest spot on the Big Island and it was fantastic to be able to walk into the ocean on the nice sandy beach.

We stopped at this park on the way to Hawi. What a beautiful find! The beach is so big and clean. There are washrooms and showers although they are very basic. There was hardly anyone there when we visited. Looks like a nice place to...More

I believe Terry S gave good advice. I called 808.961.8311 when I wanted info on the park, but they may handle more than one park, but they gave me info. RRR
