Kealakekua Bay is known to have some of the best snorkeling locations in Hawaii. Board a trimaran and head out into the bay on this convenient excursion that includes snacks, bottled water, snorkel and safety gear, and reef-safe sunscreen. We stopped here on our way back from hiking in Waipio Valley. It was a great little market with some booths selling raw fruits and veggies, while others were preparing food to eat on site. There were some picnic tables where we enjoyed a lunch plate along with some pastries from Kaai and Soo-ling Delights which was so delicious. Highly recommend!

We stayed in Hamakua for a couples weeks and the market is one of the community gatherings that makes the town so special. Good prices and lots of local produce and homemade products.

This market grows better every week. It is like a real, old-fashioned country market, where the local farmers and other artisans gather to display and sell their produce, skills and other offerings, and where people can meet and communicate and share in the local energies and harvest. Great, locally grown, organic foods abound. People are aware here. It is, simply, a great place to shop and to meet 'n' greet! Sweet energies and just a good place to be. 😄 👍🏻 🙏

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your meal. Perhaps you could come back and try one of our other food vendors, Waipi'o Cookhouse seems like it may be more to your taste.
