Went here specifically for the glass but was pleasantly surprised to find different artwork, gallery items and beautiful jewelry as well. Sales lady was very nice and knowledgeable. They open early afternoon but stay open until the evening, which is nice. We went on a Monday, and a lot of shops in Honokaa are closed on Mondays, so if you're making this town a destination for all the galleries, etc., may want to try a different day of the week.…

We had seen some of Hugh's work on another part of the island, but could not get back there to purchase. A quick Google search led us to the gallery in Honokaa. The gallery showcased pieces from other artists who work with a variety of media - all of them gorgeous and unique. Stephanie was very friendly and knowledgeable, and helped us pick out the piece we ended up with. We're very glad to have made the trip to the gallery.…

We were driving Old Mamaloa highway while sightseeing (on a Saturday) and saw a handmade sign pointing us to Art Glass so we pulled in. Turned out we had found the studio for Big Island Glass. They were so friendly and invited us to watch them blow glass. We watched Hugh make two pieces and he talked us through everything. They have a second small gallery there as well. We had a great time (including my teens and my parents -in their 70s). They make beautiful art!! Highly recommend you stop in and visit them!…
