We love library

It was cool to see Naha rock and the history behind it. The hours of the library made it difficult to access.

Good place to stop on the way to Rainbow falls and Boiling Pots.

The Hilo public Library is the largest on the island of Hawaii, starting in 1951, it is open five days a week only closing on Sundays and Mondays. There is free parking, not only for visitors to the library but for tourist visiting the Nada stones located in front of the library, which is believed to be what King Kamehameha lifted to affirm the prophecy that he would unite the Hawaiian Islands. In the atrium of the library is a sculpture called “Involuntary Journey” donated by local artist Henry Bianchini. For the public the library offers basic computer classes every other Thursday in the computer Lab, also classes in the Japanese Art of Origami and free classes designed to inspire students about the Hawaiian culture TIP: Best days to visit the stones is Sunday or Monday when The Museum is closed and you can park out front.
