We did the full day tour and thought it was excellent. The biking part is pretty casual - mainly downhill and lots of breaks. Suitable for anyone capable of riding a bike. It's a good way to get in a number of the National Park's best sights and the guide (Mike) is a bit of a legend - super enthusiastic... More

Mahalo for your review and we are glad that you enjoyed Bike Volcano's Full Day Bike Adventure of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. On this 15 mile bike tour (paved roads and trails) we bike around Kilauea Volcano's erupting summit crater, bike through the rain forest, hike through a lava tube, see a variety of craters, and weather permitting have lunch... We had fun with Mike and Pretty. They were great guides. The biking itself is pretty easy, which suited our entire group (though I personally would have wanted to do more biking). Unfortunately we had terrible weather. It sprinkled at first, and then there was a downpour, which didn't really let up. This is by no means their fault, but... More

Mahalo for your review of Bike Volcano's Full Day Bike Adventure of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The Full Day Bike Adventure is our longest bicycle tour course (15 miles of biking) which covers the erupting summit area of Kilauea Volcano and midway down the Chain of Craters Road. Due to National Park restrictions we cannot bike the entirety of the... More

We took the three hour bike tour. We thought it might be too short, but actually it was quite pleasant. We got to see many craters, the lava at the Jagger observation area and the rain forest trail. The lava tube was also one of the stops. It was a pleasant bike ride, mostly down hill. Mike and Priti were... More

Took the tour 3/24/2017. Safety, education and enjoyment are their goals and they excel in all areas. Great bikes and equipment. Most of the trip is down hill but there are 3-4 hills, but you can walk up if you need to. there is a chase van to ride in if needed. Lava, lava tubes, steam vents, rain forest, all... More

Even if you are not very fit this is a great tour for you. They will even let you take the trailer when going uphill so you just get to bike the super fun easy downhill parts! Incredible views and you cover a TON of ground! Highly recommended.

We had the pleasure of biking the rim of Kilauea volcano with Mike and Priddy. Mike is a knowledgeable guide, who provides information about both the volcano and the surrounding forest. Priddy, who drove the support and gear (SAG) van, provides local cultural and historical information. Between them, you get a great amount of information as well as a beautiful... More

Flight was delayed multiple times, then canceled the day before our tour. Tried changing the tour day/cancel to get a refund, but our calls went straight to voicemail. And when we landed and contacted them again, they said we could not be added onto another tour nor could we be refunded through Viator. So we paid ~$300 for a tour... More

This customer failed to mention that they attempted to contact the Bike Volcano reservation office after our normal operating hours (7am - 7pm Hawaii Time) the night prior to their tour date. On the morning of their scheduled tour, we did receive a couple of messages from this customer stating that their airline flight to the island from the United... More

I did a bike tour with Bike Volcano during my stay in Volcano National Park. Our tour leader, Mike, was upbeat and very knowledgable. He and his driver-assistant had the bikes ready to go and followed us with a van. We did some biking and saw some interesting parts of the park. Ultimately, however, I did not feel the whole...
