Not the best falls in the Hawaii Island chain but worth the trip to see it. If you've seen most of the waterfalls or several of them this rates somewhere in the middle for my wife and I. Of course, we all have our own...More

Nice walk on a paved path through lush greenery. There are steps to climb on the path. It was rainy when we visited but were fortunate to have a break in the clouds during our time there. Parking is available with a $5.00 fee. An...More

It's is a lot of walking and stair climbing but the path is well maintained and fairly easy to do, We really loved the dense tropical forest setting and the amazing waterfall!

Went during torrential down pour! Was a quick walk to the falls from the parking lot so we weren't that wet. Reminder it's the tropics so bring your rain poncho!

This is not for anyone that has a hard time walking or climbing stairs. It is very popular with limited parking available and it has many steps down to the viewing area and back up to the top. If you have no problem with that...More

Absolutely beautiful scenic Drive, especially if you take the 4 mile bypass off of Belt Road. Then a visit with uncle Bob on the way down the hill made this trip very nice. But we were disappointed that only one of the fall trails was...More

The walk to the falls is lovely through the beautiful rainforest listening to the chirp of the coqui frogs. We weren’t able to see one though. The Akaka Falls are amazing! Small parking lot $5 for car and passengers enter for free. If you park...More

Park outside the lot and save $3. If you are in a hurry, go left on the trail for a 5 min walk to the falls. Worth paying for!

I love this waterfall! It’s nice that you can take a road and park right next to the falls. There’s two options for viewing , a slightly longer “circle” route which is lovely to see the fauna and a direct route to the main falls,...More

There is no Entry Fee. There is, however, a Parking Fee. I think it's about $4.00 for visitors. Free for Kama'aina.
