This waterfall is extremely easy access! You can climb the stairs for a better view and even walk behind the falls and play around in the rocks upstream.

Pretty falls in Hilo. It’s extremely hard to get parking here though. It was nice to see on a driving tour of the city.

Everything is relative to the amount of effort you put in. If you’re coming from Kona just for this falls, you might feel a little let down. But if you’re going to be in Hilo already, and have some time to squeeze this in (basically...More

Very beautiful and spiritual. Close to town but takes you away from everything. I love waterfalls and this one is both powerful and peaceful. Great place to reflect, pray, meditate, plan, etc.

There was no rainbow when we were there but falls are worth seeing. Heatd morning is best time to see a rainbow. Walk beyond falls overlook to see the Banyon Tree.

Not far from downtown Hilo. Easy access. Take hop on hop off bus for 20$ one day pass. Unfortunately, I didn't see the rainbow. But, still nice. No entrance fee to see the falls.
