105 reviews
Kealakekua Bay is known to have some of the best snorkeling locations in Hawaii. Board a trimaran and head out into the bay on this convenient excursion that includes snacks, bottled water, snorkel and safety gear, and reef-safe sunscreen. Throughout the tour, your captain and crew provide little-known facts about the area’s history marine life, as well as snorkeling tips for guests with any level of experience.

Its a beautiful falls. Nice paved trail wheelchair accessible, a few stairs but there are good rails and paved trails. The parking lot is karge and the grasdy area is well manicured and offers great picnic spits under the huge trees. Great jungle flora and fauna, many wonderful photographic opportunities. The local tour guides come here regularly and will give you so much knowledge, know the names of all these wonderful trees and plants too. A must see when on the big island, its fantastic.

Awesome vibes! Wish we coulda made it to Akaka Falls but this was right outside of Hilo so an easy jaunt. Not too much to do after you see it but it’s so beautiful and worth a visit.

The falls are good. It is right on the road. It was raining when we went but unfortunately we did not see any rainbow.

Just steps from the parking lot including ramps. A gorgeous view with little effort. Worth the drive.

This waterfall is very pretty! It is almost right off the road and has a ramp so it is very easy to see for the elderly, kids, and disabled folks. If you go after rain it is a little yellow but still gorgeous! I only put 4/5 because personally I like waterfalls out a bit into the forest and wish we could get closer to it!
