A couple of years ago, this was one of our stops on the big island while driving up and down the east coast. Not planned, but it should have been. We opted to walk around the gardens at our leisure and 4 hours had passed by. Brittany helped us - she and was intelligent, helpful, and enthused about her job. If I had my own business, I'd try to steal her away! Why is this important? I think who you interact with is just as important as the adventure you are undertaking, no matter how simple their job may be.

The staff was professional, courteous and took safety seriously. My sister and I had a blast and look forward to bringing our family and friends zip lining at BWA again.

We purchased a Groupon for the 2 hour segway tour. With the Groupon, the price was acceptable. Without the Groupon, the price would have been way too much. It was definitely an interesting tour, but I thought we would be on the move more than we were. The grounds were a lot smaller than I expected and, for the most part, we just used the segway to move from one tree to the next. Also, the two hour tour turned out to be about an hour and 15 minute tour. The first 30 minutes was used to assign segways and provide an explanation and the tour ended an hour and 45 minutes after it started.

Nikki took my last minute reservation request over the phone in the morning to get us into an afternoon tour with Norton. She even offered to provide a better price than the special on Yelp where I discovered them by matching a Groupon deal for even less. Norton patiently covered the safety and operational aspects for my wife and I, first time senior riders. With his personal instructions we were confidently rolling across the pathways and grassy knolls in a matter of minutes. Norton was"talking story" in his friendly and humorous Aloha style. We covered all of the garden grounds, learned about the various plants, flowers, and trees, and were treated to freshly picked fruit snacks along the way too. A tremendous, easy rider, and enjoyable way to cover the expansive grounds in 90-minutes. Much Mahalo!

If your looking for a new adventure, a Segway tour is the answer. It is the easiest way to travel long distances in a short period of time. The tour around Botanical World was not only fun but very informative. We learnt a lot about local plants and fruits even tasting many of them. Even though it was raining lightly we still enjoyed the beautiful location including the waterfalls. Would highly recommend this tour.
