We were there on a Wednesday afternoon at low tide. It was not too crowded and we were able to get free parking close by. I dropped into the water off the "two steps" and was immediately mesmerized by the world of underwater beauty! 100...More

We tried out this spot based on some write-ups we read from Snorkel Bob's. This spot has great snorkeling but also presents challenges. It is just north of the Pu'uhonua O Honaunau National Historical Park but is not part of the park. There is a...More

This is some of the best snorkeling I've ever done and been to all the islands. Saw turtle, dolphins and everything in between. Not a great beach for little kids or those you want a sandy beach as its all lava rock. Great for those...More

Great snorkeling. Dolphins swam around some of those snorkeling for a bit then swam away. Volcanic rock beach so if not swimming bring a deck chair. Small amount of sand but covered with lots of water high tide. Next to state park, that costs $5...More

Many dolphins over there. Nice view and clear ocean water. You could stay there the whole time in the water.

Popular with tourists but great place to swim and enjoy the reef. Bring reef shoes to save your feet.Visit the National Park next door for an added treat.

Really 2 spots here at the end of the road; a snorkelling spot and a state park adjacent to it. The snorkeling is great, but mostly lava rock beachside. The state park cost money to go in; however a great little village laid out, decent...More

A great snorkel without the crowds. There were people there, but nothing like the bays closer into Kona. Saw all the usual suspects, with our friends also seeing turtles and eels. Also, earlier in the morning, there are often dolphin sightings. Pointer: Parking in the...More
