My wife and I wanted to experience this amazing road, as we were traveling through. Great sights along the way. The mountain tops were snow covered, as was the road side shoulder. The road went through some amazing landscapes along the way. By the time...More

We traveled up the mountain and the views were breathtaking. Shell falls is amazing. Each curve in the road brought new amazing vistas. It would have been even better if the fog was not so thick but you never know what to expect with the...More

We went after a light snow. So tip of mountain had snow but the base was beautiful!! Trees of all colors and so many wild animals. We saw turkeys, deer, antelope, and a cattle drive off the mountain. It was a fabulous drive. We only...More

The Wyoming High Country Lodge was home-base for 3 days meaning we travelled Hwy14A several times for sightseeing & hiking. It's a great road with numerous pullouts for overviews of the Big Horn Basin & parking areas at popular trailheads, such as Medicine Wheel and...More

While the Bighorns certainly have some beauty. They really don't remotely compare to points further west. I enjoyed our drive thru the Bighorns, but I found their attractions to be poorly marked and rather ordinary. The medicine wheel place is interesting historically, but with the...More

It is a beautiful park with a diverse countryside. It is truly a hidden gem. It was so much more than we expected with the canyons and trails. It is definitely worth your time.

We basically drove through and took a short hike (Trail 46, I believe). Since then we've been to the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Zion and Bryce, so this forest, while beautiful, wasn't much different than our home turf in Upstate NY and isn't as spectacular as...More
