Beautiful drive, need 4-wheel drive for the area we went to. Very peaceful and quiet. Drive slowly, yield to uphill traffic, and pack some snacks. Don't forget the sunscreen! Park Reservoir fishing is very relaxing and usually not too packed, unless it's a holiday weekend...then it can be busy. Day trips are relatively easy.

This drive is not for those who have issues with very tight turns or for those afraid of heights. It is a beautiful drive and worth the time it took to get over and through it. We experienced temps in the 50s'/60s at the bottom and snow showers at the top. One cool part is that we stopped as a... More

We were in Cody at the Irma hotel and our waitress convinced us to travel on 14A through the Bighorn Mountains for a nice drive to Deadwood, SD. We are glad we took her advice as we enjoyed a beautiful drive at sunset and saw wildlife along the way. Great scenic views and drive when heading from WY to SD

Taking this route through the Bighorn national forest was a great choice on our trip to Yellowstone/Grand Tetons. Drove through after we spent a few hours at the Custer National Cemetery/Battlefield--quite another moving experience. Beautiful drive on a beautiful day!

Words cannot describe the beauty!!! This is one of the most peaceful places on earth, Didn't care too much for the curves and the high altitude did give me a nose bleed (lol) but it's definitely a place to visit!!!

This is a great scenic drive through the Bighorn Mountains, with LOTS of open range cattle and a better than fair chance of seeing moose near Burgess Junction. This is not considered a high mountain pass, but it has pretty steep climbs and descents, so it isn't a white-knuckle drive like the Beartooth Highway, but you should take your time... More

The drive through the Big Horns is a gorgeous drive. So much to see. Wish we had more time to enjoy it.

We have family in Big Horn and Sheridan Wyoming, so it's tradition to drive through the Big Horn forest. No matter how many times we go through, it still takes your breath away. I'm a photographer at heart, so naturally I'm drawn in by their graceful slopes and greenery. It had been 10 years since our last visit, and my... More

Not a line of cars even on a holiday weekend. It was a beautiful day despite some low clouds and rain. It was just awesome to feel mostly alone in the vastness of the area. Camping sites were very well laid out with good distance between them for the most part.
