An easy one mile hike to check out the rock formations and had a picnic lunch. The aspen trees were just starting to leaf out. Lots of rock climber to watch.

We did not have time to explore correctly. Give yourself a day or more. If you love bouldering, this is the place for you. Sadly, that's not a skill I possess but whether you climb or not, this is a short drive from Laramie and you won't be dissapointed.

This is a beautiful place to stop for a couple of hours, the day, or an overnight camping outing. It use to be even prettier before the Beatles killed so many of the trees, but the rocks are so interesting. Turtle rock trail is an easy 1 1/2 to 2 hour walk and isvery nice.

This spectacular natural area has awesome rock formations. It is a nationally (even internationally) known rock climbing area, but it also has wonderful trails for walking and mt biking. You can scramble on the rocks without having to use gear (stay safe and within your climbing abilities!). It has picnic and camping areas as well, and with luck, you can... More

This is a great place for day hikes, rock climbing at all difficulty levels and camping. Beautiful vistas. Very close to Cheyenne and Laramie right off I-80

Vedauwoo is a great place to camp, picnic, hike, climb and scramble on rocks. There is a nice handicap accessible walking trail. We like to hike around Turtle Rock and scramble around on the rocks. If you're lucky, you may see some moose.

It's just a couple of bucks to get in for the day and you have access to campgrounds, picnic areas, parking and trails. You can walk around the entire rock structure you can walk along the creek that runs on the east side, or you can climb the rocks to get a great view from the top. It does not... More

This area has a lot of off-road opportunities. The rocks are beautiful and great fun to climb around on. Pack a picnic lunch and spend the day driving around the area exploring. I've made 2 visits and will definitely be back for more!

A fantastic area - amazing for kids/people that love climbing. We only stayed for a quick visit about 1 hour, but we could easily have spend more time. I bet it's even more beautiful at sunrise or sunset.

Bring your mountain bike. Stayed in a motor home. Does not have full facilities but nicer than staying in the campgrounds in Cheyenne (which are nice.) Great views. Close to the highway but quiet. If you are just pulling through this is a great stop. See my picture out the front door.
