This welcome center is located next to free parking near Jackson town square. There is a good relief map of the area, along with history and information about the area. Also there are bathrooms and drinking fountains. Hybrid and electric cars can easily find a parking place near the center. We stopped here first after checking into our hotel in town. The gal working was extremely helpful. (I believe her name was Jill). She gave us great information and was very helpful with maps, tips, etc.

This place has a full size topical map of the area so you can see the entire Jackson area. Information on other things to do around the area. Clean public restrooms. Also a large free parking lot close to town which we used several times.

This welcome center includes tremendous displays about the wildlife of the area. There are experts to answer all your questions about Yellowstone, the tetons, and Jackson Hole. Also a gift shop.

We stopped in here and spoke with a very helpful and informative lady. She pulled out a map and showed us where to hike and where to go to see all the different animals. She was just a wealth of information! We went back a few times to get her name and thank her, but never saw her again. The info she gave us helped shape our incredible vacation!…
