Grand Teton and National Elk Refuge Winter Day Trip

50 reviews
There’s a special beauty to Grand Teton National Park in the snowy silence of winter, free of the summertime crowds. On this Grand Teton day trip from Jackson Hole, a guide helps you search for bison and bighorn sheep, and you could also see moose, coyotes, eagles, or even wolves. In addition, visit the National Museum of Wildlife Art as well as the National Elk Refuge, where you ride past herds of powerful elk on a comfortable, horse-drawn sleigh.

Great playground and climbing walls! My kids (both 8) really challenged themselves getting to the top. Great spot!

Bring a picnic or just a six pack and let the kids run wild. Nice setting and safe environment for kids running wild!

It is hard to believe that such great quality bouldering is free to the public. Our kids of all ages and skills could wear themselves out climbing. The park is at the base of the ski runs and is definitely a hidden gem for rock climbers and Families.

We went to the park several times during our trip. My kids (ages 7 and 13) really enjoyed climbing the rock walls and seeing what they were capable of. The park is fun for little kids as well as for teens. Try and coordinate time there with the People's Market on Wednesdays.

While on vacation you spend lots of money. However, this was an amazing free activity. One night after dinner I was looking for something fun and inexpensive to do and this came up on Trip Advisor. We thought we would give it a try with our kids aged 10 and 14. They loved it. In fact they loved it so much that we went back again another day. This park has a small play ground but we were there for the awesome climbing walls. Great fun for kids! Adults don’t worry you can give it a try too if you want.
