I spent seven days fishing at Monster Lake and staying at the lodge. Not inexpensive, but you get what you pay for. Monster lake has world class fishing for large hard fighting rainbows, brown, brook, tiger and newely introduced cut throats(not so large). You can go with a hosted group as I did, hire one of the guides that works... More

We contracted with Monster Lake as a venue for our daughter's wedding in their convention center, in addition to renting all lodging for the weekend. The facility changed management after the contract and before the wedding. In addition to being highly uncooperative in planning decisions, they proceeded to increase charges, some specified by the contract and some made verbally. When... More

... unfortunately for me though, I discovered I am anything but a world class fisherman. This was the third time I fished Monster Lake. While I had float tube fished it the two prior times, I had to rent one of their skiffs due to physical limitations this time. The lake really is designed for totally self-sufficient fly fishermen. They... More

We saw the sign for Monster Lake in Cody and I drove out that day to take a look and see what it was like. I spent an hour looking around and talking to the staff and booked a half day fishing trip for two the next afternoon. We checked in the next p.m and our guide was waiting for... More

Just returned from another fishing trip to Monster Lake. Dan Eddleman has purchased this property and is developing an extensive program to make this the best Lake anywhere for BIG FISH. Tim Wade, North Fork Anglers, Cody Wyoming is assisting and providing guides if requested. You won't find any better guides. This Lake is one of the few Lakes you... More

I just returned to Wisconsin after making a delivery to monster lake. While there the hospitality was awesome. We had a light breakfast and a super bag lunch to take with us on our return trip. We viewed the lakes and surrounding countryside. It was beautiful and breathing. The fishing looks wonderful and the pheasant hunting will be exellent as... More

Monster Lake Ranch is a work in progress. There are many plans in the development of this property. When I called about the trail rides, I expressed some concern about the two hour trail ride. We were taking our eight year old grandson. We were appreciative that they agreed to do a one hour trail ride. Monster Lake Ranch is... More

This is the first review I've ever chosen to write. In general my time is too valuable to me to spend it writing a review of a travel spot. Monster Lake Ranch is an exception because of the wonderful time my family had there. My wife, I, and our 5 year old son spent 4 nights in an immaculate and... More

My wife went for a hike while I went for a horseback ride with the owner's wife and daughter. We rode up onto a beautiful bluff overlooking Monster Lake. No nose to tail ride for this outing. Everyone was extremely welcoming and the horses were well trained. A great time had by all!
