The plaza and the depot are well maintained and attractive. The depot has a rather grand facade from the great days of railroads. This is in the heart of the old downtown. We... read more

This a square where many events are held here every year. Plant sales, Cinco de Mayo, eatery with nightly bands, Xmas ball is also dropped here in December. A place for fun!

The Depot has a small store with plenty of souvenirs to choose from. My daughter and I went all over Cheyenne looking for post cards... this is the place to get them.

So I went on a Sunday and mostly everything was closed, but I did get to walk around and take some pics. There's a really cool picnic are,but being from Atlanta I was lil spooked out because it was really quiet there. There were people here and there, but definitely not the noise of a busy city. Now that I'm... More

The plaza and the depot are well maintained and attractive. The depot has a rather grand facade from the great days of railroads. This is in the heart of the old downtown. We were disappointed that the tours and trolley stop at the end of September. The downtown was a disappointment with a dearth of cafes, shops, and a general... More

Great place to sit in the sun, have a picnic or a beverage in the center of everything in Cheyenne! Such a nice change and update from the last time I was there!

I loved this museum, the history, the stories of how railroads came to WY and how they grew to modern day. The museum was fascinating! Everyone touring was wide eyed and seemed to enjoy it as well. I loved especially the viewing area of the train yard, the model train area, the telegraph area, the luggage handling area (WOW) and... More

Too much unfocused reading. Typical current museum display techniques are missing. The subject is trains. More videos and play areas are needed to understand Sherman Hill. the Big Boy and the UP. The Sherman Grade with a five foot active diarama and movie of the Big Boy would be far superior than little play area and multiple articles on the... More

Stopped at the old train station while in town, hoping to get lunch at the Accomplice Beer Company; sadly, they weren't open for lunch. Took a few pics of the cool boots instead.

Came across this area as part of a self-guided walk we were doing. There is an interesting depot museum and I imagine the open area is great when there are markets, festivals etc on. We loved the decorative cowboy boots which are dotted around.
