One of a Kind

This was well located and easy to walk to in the downtown area. Despite arriving after closing time, we were able to partake of the great window displays.

We wanted to visit the Cowgirls of the West Museum while in Cheyenne, but discovered when we got there that is it closed until May 2017. Disappointing!

Fantastic museum - lots of interesting info about the early women settlers, homesteaders and of course Cowgirls. Friendly, fun and free !!! What more can you ask.

It wasn't our favorite museum stop in Cheyenne but was interesting as a woman to see how they helped to shape the wild west. There's lots of signs with info on them so my 12 year old got bored quickly.

Cowgirls Museum is great. So much to read about so many interesting women. Some you know, many you don't. The history of women who rode broncos and bulls in the early 20th century is especially interesting. You will get lost in the long video too.

This is a fine little museum that has highly informative displays on an important aspect of western lifestyle. The size is deceiving and you need to be sure to give yourself plenty of time to check out all of the displays. Then be sure to go next door into the shop that supports the museum. It is a fun place... More

Showing friends around downtown Cheyenne we stopped in to see this museum about the importance of cowgirls and how they broke into the wild west. Watch the video in the back of the museum first. Then check out the rest of the museum.

It looks like a little shop, but it's packed full of items that cowgirls used in the Wild West. Famous cowgirls are given credit for helping to settle the West, and there are a lot of unique costumes and tools displayed. This is a tribute to the women of the west.
