Our gal at the hotel recommended this stop and we enjoyed it. It's definitely worth it to check out to get a little bit of history.

This is great value, just $3 gets you into this terrific museum with original buildings furnished and equipped exactly as in the time it was in use as a military fort. Lots of atmosphere, lots of interesting history. Highly recommended.

Fort Caspar gives you a good feel for what it must have been like in the Wyoming territory in the mid nineteenth century. Allow about an hour.

The exhibit hall is okay. There is an okay amount of civil war and Fort Casper but there's a lot of other stuff that is more modern and/or native stuff. The fort section is well presented. Looking in the cabins and seeing how they lived...More
