This was a nice, quick morning hike while staying at the Dells. A great place to get away from the tourist traffic and find some fresh air. Short 1-mile trail loop with great cliffs, geological features. Could hear nearby highway traffic up upper trail. Low...More

Pros: gorgeous setting among forest and stone formations and all sites have privacy from the next; rustic and primitive. Cons: interstate traffic noise (we were still able to sleep), dirty bathrooms and showers (wouldn't take much to clean them), lack of gravel paths and lots...More

Well, another State Park I can check off my list. I didn't realize that this is more of a campground than a hiking park. It has just over a mile trail, but that's it. Some scenic spots. Unfortunately 90 is right there and I can't...More

Nice to be there in the Fall when no one is around. Great rock formations and the hiking trail was interesting but quite rustic and a little wet.

Nothing I read said this park was closed to vehicle traffic at certain times of the year. Everything said it is open. It is, but you park (limited spaces) and walk in. We took a short trail rock. Small park. Small pet area with picnic...More

Rocky Arbor State Park is an average park in an average town in the middle of an average state. If you like hiking and are bored of the other state parks then check this one out.

This was my first visit to this state park and I can't wait to go back! My boyfriend and I visited to go hiking, but I will say that the camping spaces looked great, with plenty of space between sites. The hiking was moderate to...More

We camped here to save money. The sites were good sized and surrounded by trees, so you had great privacy from other campers. While there are plenty of pit toilets around, we were sure to get a site near the main bath and shower house....More

There is a playground when you come into the park. I do not remember seeing one next to any of the camping sites. It's not a far walk, but it is far enough that little kids should not go by themselves.
