Nice work from local artist

This a great place to catch work from local artist. There is a gift store located in Washington Square that you can purchase some beautiful pottery, jewelry and more.

They are remodeling the building but are open with a couple of exhibits. Spent about a half hour looking around. A display by children was very good, so talented at young ages. The Flowers Are Burning exhibit was beautiful and interesting to read. Nice space, open but not too big.

We saw an exhibit where the artist had a piece of artwork but then a poem that spoke about the artwork. Very interesting to read and see what the artist is trying to say. Hopefully all of their exhibits are this engaging and thought provoking. Hours are lousy though. Short week and short hours make it difficult to get into.... More

The CVA is a northern Wisconsin gem. The high quality and diversity of the art is amazing. The fact that the Center offers classes as well as inspiring creative pieces makes it an inviting place for all.

Beautiful historic location , adjacent to The Grand Theater in downtown Wausau. Art displays in all mediums from pottery to jewelry, and the on-going art classes make this a must see for anyone visiting or living in the Wausau metro area.

The rest of the square looks so upgraded and upscale this building does not. The inside is very nice but the layout is odd. The artwork was fantastic.

Nice and enjoyable. Was quite surprised at the local artists displays. Very easy to find with their maps in the local flyer.

If you're new to the Wausau area and are looking to experience art, I would first suggest going to the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum. Having been to both, I found the selected pieces at CVA less interesting and that there isn't as much to see. In fairness, CVA is a smaller operation than the Museum. However, if you've already...
