We decided to take advantage of some late fall warm weather and spend a day walking in this Forest. It is easy to find and we greatly enjoyed our walk. The trails on the south end are linked so one can enjoy a short walk or combine trails for a longer walk. The trails are well groomed and easy to... More

This is a great place to bring the family. The beaches are big and clean. The bike trails are long and not very crowded and the lighthouse is unique.

This park is a lovely place for a beach stroll, especially if you're longing for the ocean -- it's the Midwest's closest thing. Quiet, great amenities, beautiful trails.

The fall colors were at their peak when we visited. Marked trails are easily navigated. The beach was beautiful and windswept. Not many people so it felt like we had the entire forest to ourselves. Just lovely!

Only spent a couple days there but the State Forest is beautiful & the mix of forest & Lake Michigan shoreline is unbeatable. We'll definitely return!

We drove through the park to check out the campground. The sites looked awesome, in the woods with plenty of room, trees between each site for privacy, and all of the sites are a short walk from the beach and from a hiking/biking trail that goes through the park. I did read that it can be hard to get in... More

A nice place to visit. Not over populated by people fresh air and the wonderful smell of the pine and cedar. The beach is clean and fresh!

We have two in our group who have difficulty walking very far, so it was nice to have parking areas so close to the lake. We did walk the wooden path by the lighthouse without any trouble. The parking areas allowed for good viewing of Lake Michigan from the car. We purchased a one hour pass, which was perfect for... More

We so much enjoyed walking the beach of this park that we returned every night but one while staying in Two Rivers, WI. The waves and sand were just right for walking barefoot where the water met the beach. We noted that many people enjoyed swimming as the beach obviously sloped very slowly and gently into the lake. We'll return... More

This park has the added advantage of sticking out about 7 miles into lake michigan, the water is always cool to cold, but is so refreshing and invigorating! The scenery is spectacular. I highly recommend a visit, or if the summer heat is too much, then camp out here to take advantage of Lake michigan cooling effect.
