I was there the Sunday before Labor Day and the were busy, but despite that the staff was friendly, polite and efficient. We rented kayaks for the 3 -3 1/2 long paddle. My kayak was great and had a water-resistant hold in it. My companion's didn't, but didn't need one. The Namekagon River is a great relaxing way to spend... More

My husband and I took two of our children and another little friend along for a day of floating on the river. We drove 2 3/4 hours from Prior Lake, Mn on a Friday morning (nearly 6 hours round trip - plus stops). It was worth the drive. The price was very reasonable, especially if we had chosen to go... My daughter and I were looking forward to a nice day on the river. We had each paddled most of the Namekagon; she more recently than I, and my last trip was 35 years ago. We rented two sit on top kayaks, which proved light, maneuverable, and comfortable for our disparate sizes. They were 11 foot molded plastic boats with... More

Rented a canoe for 3 days from Seeley to Trego and these folks were terrific. Although, we would recommend putting in at Hayward Dam and skipping the 2 portages that are between Seeley and Hayward since the river has lots of houses still at that point. The campsites are superb (but bring your own water ~ 1 gallon per canoe... More

While tubing the Namekagon River is very relaxing, Jacks Canoe Rental also will deliver paddleboards to surrounding area lakes. That's great for cabin people that don't bring boats but have kids who want to do something new.

Great time! How can you not have fun tubing down the river! River travels at nice pace. Shallow enough my 8 year old could stand up in most parts of river. Friendly and helpful staff. We'll run operation.

People often talk about Jack's for its tubing, but we love Jack's for the fantastic canoe rental and shuttle service on the Namekegon. My husband, 7-year-old son, and I rented a canoe for three days, and Dan dropped us off at the landing in Hayward. Service was prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable, and the equipment was well-maintained and modern. We'd done... More

This was the highlight of our family vacation in Hayward. We took our kids (almost 11 and almost 7) on the tubing trip, and it was so much fun. It probably took us closer to 4 hours to make the trip. Relaxing, beautiful, fun. Will recommend to friends.

We took a large group of adults and kids ranging from 5-10 tubing down the river and we had a blast! We were able to tie up in several flotillas, had free cooler tubes and the kids brought squirt guns for some extra fun. They bus you to the starting point and you float back down to the renal where... More

Well stop thinking about it and just DO IT. As a couple, we had a great time. Families and groups all around us were having a great time. Everybody we saw on this river was having a great time. This is just a wonderful way to kill an afternoon. The take out is just behind the rental building so you... More
