Cave Point is a short drive from Sturgeon Bay and should not be missed. The park is free and parking is nearby. So is the lake so be sure to watch your little ones VERY closely. We were there when the waves were crashing against the rocks, but I bet it is beautiful in calm, sunny weather as well. If... More

Cave Point Park is easy to find and worth the stop. The point is just a short walk from the parking lot although the path has lots of roots and the rocks can be slippery when they're wet. It was a windy day when we went so the waves crashing on the rocks were awesome. It's no place for kids... More

Cave Point County Park is just on the north side of the Whitefish dunes park. It has some great wave action with the limestone tables underneath creating blow backs and neat sounds. Was surprisingly busy for a Monday morning, but decent sized parking lot and an outhouse.

Beautiful county park hidden off the main highway, but well worth the drive. Once you get to the park, head to the lake where you'll see wave upon wave crashing into the bluffs! Nice hikes in the woods, following the lake is great. There's also a place next to the water, if you go left when you first start, where... More

This park was really beautiful - but be careful. Do NOT let your children run around unsupervised. There are cliffs right down to the lake and to rocks below. Lots of tree roots that you can trip over. There was one special place with what I called a Rock Fairy Garden. it was really cool. We were there in the... More

A great experience. It was very windy when we visited and the waves were coming up over the cliffs. It was incredible to see! We would definitely visit again

We stop at Cave Point every time we are in Door County. It is so beautiful and peaceful! There are "cow paths" thru the woods so bring your hiking shoes and enjoy beautiful views and tranquility!

The history behind the Cave are cool. It runs all the to Niagara Falls. There is a info board that tells you about the way and how long it took to make the caves. There is a shoreline that has rocks stacked up from previous visitors which looks very cool.

On our 2nd Door County trip this past weekend, we decided to hit the Lake Michigan side before heading home, and WOW. At Cave Point County Park you can walk right to where the waves crash into the rocky shore. the lake side has a lot bigger waves than the bay side. Many waves were 4-5' before crashing into the... We had read about this park on Tripadvisor, so decided to check it out. What a lovely little retreat, and we especially enjoyed the rock towers that had been built by who knows how many hands. Views of the lake were great.
