This is a great museum to show young and old the art of mining and the equipment they use. The stall are also very knowledgeable and friendly.

As of mid-December 2016 this museum is now closed. There are no plans to reopen this specific museum, however there is an effort in the city of South Milwaukee to transfer many of the museum's archives and reopen the exhibit to the public off site.

Beautiful displays and large computer operated mining simulator! Historical information is very well persevered. I highly recommend this for operating engineers and their families.
