This is a great destination for eagle watching, canoeing and Sauk Prairie festivals. Eagles come during the winter because the water is always open below the dam.

We caught fish of multiple species, floated on a beautiful river with tremendous scenery on both sides, enjoyed the laughter of different groups who stopped on the sand bars, and had the best time. It was one of the best days we've had in months....More

Canoe, kayak or fishing boat, you'll have fun. Tube rides are available, eagle watching can be fruitful, camping is another choice off what you can do on the river. Or you can go to one of several restaurants that have a view of the river...More

Gently flowing with serenity! Take the ferry across is a fun time. Easy to camp out in various areas. Just walking it's banks and enjoying is peaceful!
