Fun kayak trip

Did the 3 hour Kinni trip on an overcast day. No one on river...so much fun. Started pouring minutes before finishing. An adventure! Staff friendly and efficient.

I consider myself an excellent kayaker, but this route is definitely NOT for beginners. I would call it a wilderness survival challenge. You will be bruised, scratched, bleeding, and soaked on this trip. You will need to scale a 5 foot tall barbed wire fence with a kayak, and carry it through 300 feet of swampland and dense prairie. If... More

My wife and I recently purchased a 2nd kayak, and we searched for places near the Twin Cities that would offer shuttle service up river that would provide us a good opportunity to get out on one of the many scenic rivers, and Kinni Creek absolutely lived up to our expectations. I have read other reviews that were somewhat negative,... More

What a great trip. We were met at the put in location promptly with our kayaks and instructions. We were picked up at the end on time and returned safely to our vehicles at the end of the trip. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Thanks for a fun afternoon!

My husband and I had a tough afternoon on the Kinni. We're rank amateurs and, although reading their web site thoroughly, had no idea what it would really be like. I would liken their admonishments to a flight attendant's instructions on what to do in the event of a water landing. How can a beginner possibly know how they're react?... More

Bit of advice for the first timer(like us), do read the website so that you have a proper expectation of what to expect/not expect. The outfitter would pretty much give to the gears and set a pick up time and then you are on your own. From there on, you are carrying your kayaks and other stuff yourself and going... More

Did the 6 hour jungle trip in July. The first half or more of the trip was spent dodging, going under, over and through the downed trees. By the time one could actually kayak, we were too tired and wet to enjoy the scenery. I would recommend a shorter day trip or better yet just rent the kayaks/equipment/shuttle and do... More

We arrived a little before 9am and quickly filled out the paperwork. Then we boarded the shuttle, and fifteen minutes later, we were at the river landing, preparing to launch our kayaks. The scenery was gorgeous, and we practically had the river to ourselves. Upon returning to the lodge (around 2pm), the staff helped us unload our gear and carry... More

The Upper Park Tour for beginners was a great fun experience to try out kayaking ! The staff was humerous in getting us set up with our equipment, though not very thourough with the explanation. The river was beautiful, equipment appropriate and overall entertainment was great ! I would encourage newbies to this to be prepared for some narrow river... More
