Often we have seen this place open for public tours 2-3 times per year and there are plenty of us who enjoy visiting lighthouses! The grounds are kept very well and there is easy access.

A very well preserved lighthouse and out buildings. Nothing was open--only special days for that. However the gardens, structures and information available was interesting. Peaceful place to just sit in the garden and enjoy the water and waves.

This is the first lighthouse I've seen up close and personal. It was a lot taller than I thought so I had to stand back to get the entire lighthouse in a picture. We were able to also view Lake Michigan from the seating area....More

What a beautiful, well maintained lighthouse. There was no tour available, but we walked the grounds down to the water.
