Went for a special showing of Drop Dead Gorgeous and was happy to finally try it out! The website is a little clunky and lacking on basic “about us” information. But I enjoyed the individual seat and food tray- rather than bar seating like similar...More

Gorgeous theater. A really classic, small theater with a sky that looks like a night sky. Comfy chairs with lots of leg room, with a little movable tray for food or for your stuff. We didn't love the popcorn—the butter was a bit sour—but we...More

10:30 on a Saturday morning to see a classic film may seem strange, but it was a sold-out crowd and great fun. We went to the Avalon many times back in the days when our kids were young. It was cheap and kind of grungy,...More

This is our first choice when going to see a movie, and we drive 20 minutes longer than necessary to get here. Parking is on the street and can be a little bit difficult to maneuver at times, but that's the only draw back and...More

Nicely redone. You still have a large screen in the main theater and also a smaller but well appointed second screen. You can get beer and drinks along with your popcorn or nachos. On street parking can be difficult to find.

I love Avalon! We come here whenever it's an option. Despite limited theaters they get most any big movies. They do both regular and 3D. Avalon has a full bar, comprehensive menu with good food, and the best popcorn in Milwaukee. This place has an...More

While looking for something fun to do on a Sunday, I ran across Anime March at the Avalon theater. During the month of March, the Avalon Theater shows Japanese Anime films. It was my first trip to the theater and had no idea what to...More

Beautiful renovation for this charming theatre built in the 20's. On KK in the trendy Bayview area of Milwaukee, this theatre takes you back in time with its arches, lighting, etc. The seats are spacious and has move-able trays for drinks and dining. Bathrooms are...More

Awesome!! Went here as a kid. I am SO glad to see it restored (to the original) and back in commission. Great place to see a movie and have a drink, at the same time!
