Pretend Summer!

The Domes are a wonderful place to go on a cold winter day to pretend for a short period of time, you are in summer! Tropical Domes are wonderful. Great way to spend an afternoon

Love to visit this place any time of year, but it is especially nice in the winter when WI is cold & knee deep in snow. Walking through the place is like returning to summer, all the plants, flowers and sunshine in the domes will cheer you up.

Nice place to kill an hour on a winter day in Milwaukee taking in the Desert and Tropical domes. Third dome is now a "showcase" but mostly just miniture trains with some supporting plants to fill it in. Inexpensive at $7 per adult.

The Show Dome was a little underwhelming, but plenty to look at in the Tropical Dome and the Desert Dome. Enough signs to explain what you are seeing but also fun to just wander and look all around

The domes really haven't changed in 30 or more years. Still they are a nice place to take a break from winter. I do wish they discontinued their train exhibits. I find them rather boring. They've been doing this train exhibit thing for years ( or so it seems). I'm very glad Milwaukee County did the necessary repairs to keep... More

Love the Mitchell Park Domes!!! Visited here at the end of January 2017 and the Desert and Tropical Domes were very awesome! The Show Dome had a display of trains and it was really geared toward little kids so this one we didn't spend much time in. I would love to go back and visit the Domes when they have... More

Little did we know that the railroad garden would be so innovative and complete. Lucky we got to see and enjoy it.

Beautiful flowers, plants, and displays. One Saturday morning we were there to be pleasantly surprised to have a farmers market also going on.

I've been coming here since I was a kid. Always loved it. OK so a dome was being renovated - there's still 2 more open. Great fun for everyone.

The Domes are a must see. Beautiful botanical and desert gardens! One of the Domes was undergoing construction.
