What a beautiful theater! We enjoyed an excellent tour of the Mabeltainter Center for the Performing Arts, which included an overview of the interesting history of Menomonie. Well worth a visit! I wish we could have stayed for a performance!

Built as a memorial for Mabel Tainter, daughter of Andrew Tainter, this historical theater is one of the nicest in the world. This may be in part due to its unique Architectural style built with stone from the Downsville Quarry. Interior features include gold guided...More

Intimate theater in the true Victorian style. While I'm not a fan of the style, the scale and appointments are true to the period. The outside is as a testimony to the preservation efforts.
