Our family of 4 camped at Copper Falls. We had site 55 on the south loop. The sites are pretty open between them. I wouldn't want to camp at a site in the middle of the loop as you are surrounded by campers on all...More

We had a great time at this State Park. The trails were very nice and we went on several of them. The tower was a nice challenge with many steps to get to the top. The waterfalls were very beautiful.

We visited Copper Falls State Park on a rainy day and despite the gloomy skies, we were impressed by the beauty of this park. We took the 1.7 mile hike around the falls, which provided beautiful views of several different areas of the falls, some...More

Loved the park. Camped for 4 nights - campground is clean and sites are spacious and not packed tight together. Easy hike down to concessions, falls area and trails. There are both bike and hiking trails within the park. A small non-motor lake with beach...More

Doughboy trail is beautifully maintained - there is a section that is handicapped accessible. Otherwise, a wide crushed stone path with fencing and stairs that take you down to the water level and back up again. People were building stone formations along the waters edge...More

This is a remarkable state park! We hiked three different trails, the best one having the spectacular roaring falls and gorges. There is also an area for camping and a beach for swimming as well as a rustic but flushable toilet and changing house. The...More

1.7 mile hike around the park. Beautiful waterfalls and cliffs. Some rugged stairs to climb along the way so not for anyone with knee problems but it's defintiely worth the hike to see everything. It's in the middle of nowhere but worth the drive. Fun...More

I haven't been to Bayfield and only visited Ashland for a part of a day a few years ago. I can't recommend any hotels, but if you are into sightseeing there are lots of things to see in the area.

There are backpacking sites for camping separate from the two campgrounds. There are also a few walk in sites from one of the campgrounds. Just talked with someone who had been fishing. He caught some trout on the river.
