This is an icon in LaX. I use to ride my bike up this hill. Hike, see for miles, watch the sunset. This is one of my favorite LaX spots.

Nice drive up the bluff, which would be stunning in fall. And once you reach the top you have great views of the city and the ole Mississippi.

Frequently take friends from out of the area here. It is beautiful any season - In late spring the flowers often bloom earlier than elsewhere so that there is contrast with the drabness is striking. In the summer the whole bluff is a huge mass...More

We liked taking in the view with teenagers, even though it was in the 30s! Informative signs describe early LaCrosse life. open air shelter with fireplace (no fire) to get out of wind. Restrooms are just off the path, but only available seasonally. Small parking...More

Loved the lacrosse bluffs. Trails that are easy to hard and a great view at the top. We saw eagles and just enjoyed being outside. Lots of people enjoying the trails on a nice day. Go do this.

You'll drive to the top and there's a concrete sidewalk that leads to both the shelter and the overlook. In fact, it's handicapped accessible

It is accessible by car. There is a parking lot and a short, easy walk to the overlook. There are also trails from there for those who want to explore further.
