The 2016 version of the Holiday light show @ Rotary Botanical Gardens is bigger and better than ever before. The trail has been expanded to take in more of the gardens and give views of the lights like never before. Parking was at a premium but free bus rides from nearby have helped that. Open from 4/8:00 pm for the... More

The garden is amazing anytime of the year, but the holiday light show is one of the most amazing light shows I have ever seen. Over 1 million lights bring the garden back to life in December.

I live in the area, so I've been to Rotary Gardens many times. I was married there 20+ years ago when it was in the early stages of development. This review is of my most recent visit, in August 2016. This is a large, well-maintained, beautifully designed property filled with numerous individual themed gardens (all connected by pathways, walkways and... More

I visit the gardens at least once a year. Never disappointed! Beautiful plants, art, and scenery. My boyfriend and I went this time for one of our Sunday dates. A bonus about this is that there are TONS of Pokémon stops for those who enjoy to play.

Love the plants and scenery here. Cannot wait until the Christmas light show. It is in December and it is fantastic! Summer is peak time to visit.

This is a spectacular garden with a variety of smaller gardens within such as a sunken garden, formal garden and a Japanese garden to name three. There is something for everyone to enjoy. Also there is a pond that you can walk completely around with one side having formal plantings and the other just native plantings connected by a beautiful... More

the gardens are beautiful and varied. there is a beautiful rose garden, Japanese garden, and several themed gardens. They gardens are kept up by volunteers that make it very unique. It will have a very popular Christmas lighted display with a train display inside. our grandchildren have always loved going to it. It will also have many community events here

We visited the Rotary Botanical Gardens using the reciprocity of our Chicago Botanic Garden membership cards. The setting was beautiful. We'll go back to experience other seasons.

I spent a couple of lovely, peaceful hours strolling through these gardens, which are mostly maintained by volunteers. The small Japanese garden is a real treat. This location also has a gazebo at one end of the pond, many benches, sunny and shady areas, different styles of gardens and a sunken garden. Everything was blooming gloriously.
